Fall Events at Cap and Gown

The Princeton Eating Clubs have reopened this fall after being closed since March of last year. Our undergrad members are thrilled to be back in the Cap clubhouse. We look forward to welcoming our alums back to Cap and Gown as activities resume this fall.

We are hoping for good weather and planning events to be outdoors as much as possible. There are 4 home football games when Cap will host post-game receptions under a tent in the Cap courtyard, and our tailgating area will be open on the back lawn.

Here is the schedule for home football games:

  • Saturday 9/25 Princeton vs. Stetson at 1pm

  • Saturday 10/2 Princeton vs. Columbia at 1pm

  • Homecoming! Saturday 10/23 Princeton vs. Harvard at 1pm

  • Saturday 11/13 Princeton vs. Yale at 1pm ET

Cap and Gown and all of the Eating Clubs are aligned with Princeton University policies for COVID-19. Cap's policies for coming to these events are the following:

  • There are no restrictions outside the clubhouse in the open air; maintain social distancing if possible; families can sit together.

  • Only fully-vaccinated members and guests will be allowed to enter the clubhouse. You will need to bring proof of vaccination to receive a wristband so you can enter the club.

  • Children under 12 will be allowed in the clubhouse only to use the restroom, and must be masked.

  • Masks are required to be worn in the clubhouse at all times, although they can be temporarily removed for eating and drinking.

  • No food or beverages can be brought into the clubhouse, and we are limiting food and beverage service inside the club.

These policies will be updated as needed as we receive further guidance from the University and benefit from relevant experience.

We hoped to be beyond COVID sooner rather than later, and will do all we can do keep everyone safe when you're back at Cap so we can see each other in-person again!
